Abstract: This study explores innovations in teaching methodologies in technical education in Nigeria, examining new approaches, technologies, and pedagogical strategies that enhance teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and learning outcomes in vocational and technical fields. Innovations in teaching methodologies are crucial for adapting to evolving educational needs, integrating digital tools, and fostering active learning environments that prepare students for modern workplace challenges. The research aims to (1) identify emerging teaching methodologies and instructional technologies used in technical education, (2) assess the impact of innovative teaching approaches on student motivation, skill acquisition, and academic performance, and (3) propose recommendations for integrating effective teaching innovations to improve instructional quality and enhance student learning experiences in technical education. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from educators, instructional designers, and technology integrators. A sample size of 300 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent technical educators, innovation specialists, and educational technology experts in Enugu State. Case studies will examine successful implementations of innovative teaching methodologies and their outcomes in technical education settings. Findings indicated positive student engagement and learning outcomes with active learning strategies, identified barriers such as technology access and educator training gaps, and highlighted the role of continuous professional development in fostering teaching innovation. Recommendations include investing in digital infrastructure, providing professional development opportunities, and promoting collaborative learning environments to enhance the adoption and impact of innovative teaching methodologies in technical education.
